We are seeking a proactive and tech-savvy Chat Ops Specialist to streamline communication, automate workflows, and support operational efficiency through real-time chat platforms. In this role, you’ll work across teams—engineering, support, operations—to enhance collaboration and reduce friction through chat-based integrations and automation tools. Key Responsibilities: Manage and optimize real-time communication channels (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord). Develop and maintain chatbot scripts and workflows to automate routine tasks and improve team productivity. Integrate tools and systems into chat platforms (e.g., Jira, GitHub, CI/CD tools, monitoring systems). Create alerts, notifications, and dashboards within chat environments to support team visibility and quick action. Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and support teams to ensure chat workflows align with business and technical needs. Monitor chat channels to triage issues, route requests, and facilitate resolution. Maintain documentation and user guides for chat automation tools and procedures. Gather feedback to continuously improve chat-based processes and tooling. Ensure security, access controls, and compliance best practices are followed within chat integrations. Requirements: Experience with chat platforms (Slack, MS Teams, etc.) and related bots or integrations. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, JavaScript) and automation tools. Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or IT operations is a plus. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work cross-functionally. Experience with tools like Zapier, GitHub, Jira, ServiceNow, PagerDuty, or similar systems is advantageous. Preferred Qualifications: Background in IT support, DevOps, or Systems Administration. Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments. Understanding of incident management workflows and collaboration best practices.
