We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our innovative team. Responsibilities

  1. Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL, R, Python, and other data analysis tools to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  2. Develop interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other visualization platforms to communicate insights effectively across teams.
  3. Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from diverse sources such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Linked Data repositories.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile project management methodologies to define requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver timely solutions.
  5. Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring quality standards are met through rigorous testing and documentation.
  6. Conduct business analysis to understand stakeholder needs and translate them into technical specifications for database design or process improvements.
  7. Support database design efforts by creating efficient schemas and optimizing query performance using tools like Visio for diagramming and VBA for automation tasks.
  8. Utilize Bash (Unix shell scripting) for automation workflows and manage version control of scripts and reports.

Experience

  1. Proven experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar role with a strong understanding of analytics principles.
  2. Hands-on expertise with SQL programming for data extraction and manipulation; familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases is preferred.
  3. Demonstrated ability to develop dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  4. Experience with ETL tools such as Talend or similar platforms for data integration tasks.
  5. Knowledge of programming languages including R and Python for statistical analysis and automation purposes.
  6. Strong business analysis skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
  7. Familiarity with database design concepts, data modeling, Linked Data concepts, and version control practices.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in computer science. Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field. Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks. Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations. Ability to translate business requirements into nontechnical, lay terms. High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases. Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases. Understanding of addressing and metadata standards. High-level written and verbal communication skills.
