Job Description

An established, high-volume private cardiology and peripheral vascular practice in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Non-Invasive or Invasive Non-Interventional Cardiologist to join its growing physician team.

This opportunity provides the incoming cardiologist with an established patient population, strong referral network, comprehensive in-office diagnostic capabilities, and experienced clinical support. The physician will have the opportunity to step directly into a busy practice rather than build a patient panel from the ground up.

Position Highlights

  1. Established private cardiology and peripheral vascular practice
  2. Join a multidisciplinary cardiology team
  3. Large existing patient population
  4. Extensive established referral network
  5. Office-based cardiology consultations
  6. Hospital consultation and rounding
  7. Interpretation of cardiovascular diagnostic studies
  8. General cardiology responsibilities
  9. Significant peripheral vascular patient population
  10. Advanced practice provider and experienced clinical staff support
  11. Hospital admissions managed by hospitalists and primary care physicians
  12. Cardiologists function primarily as consultants
  13. After-hours responsibilities are generally limited to telephone coverage
  14. Limited satellite clinic responsibilities
  15. Expanding outpatient procedural capabilities

Practice & Diagnostic Capabilities

The practice offers comprehensive cardiovascular diagnostic and ancillary services, including:

  1. Nuclear cardiology, including SPECT and cardiac PET
  2. Advanced cardiac CT
  3. Echocardiography
  4. Vascular ultrasound
  5. Pacemaker/device checks
  6. Remote ECG monitoring
  7. Established venous services
  8. Peripheral vascular diagnostics
  9. Office-based procedural capabilities

The practice has a particularly strong peripheral vascular patient population and an established endovascular program. Because of this volume, the incoming cardiologist should be comfortable recognizing and managing both cardiac and peripheral vascular disease.

A new ambulatory surgical facility is under development as part of the practice's continued expansion.

Hospital Practice

The physician will provide inpatient cardiology consultation and rounding at a nearby hospital with comprehensive cardiovascular capabilities.

Patients are admitted through hospitalists or primary care physicians, allowing the cardiologists to function primarily as consultants rather than serving as the admitting physician.
