Material Handler

Position Overview

Cortland Plastics International is a plastics manufacturing company specializing in plastic packaging and container solutions for a variety of industries. The company focuses on quality, operational efficiency, customer service, and continuous improvement.

We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented Material Handler to support our manufacturing operations by efficiently receiving, moving, storing, and supplying raw materials, finished products, packaging materials, and other inventory throughout the facility.

The successful candidate will have experience in a manufacturing, plastics, warehouse, or distribution environment and will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, supporting production requirements, and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Move and stage raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
2. Supply production lines with required materials.
3. Load and unload trucks safely and accurately.
4. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as required.
5. Maintain accurate inventory and material records.
6. Inspect and report damaged or missing materials.
7. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
8. Follow company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
9. Support production, warehouse, shipping, and receiving activities.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Previous manufacturing, plastics, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred.
3. Forklift experience or certification preferred.
4. Basic computer and inventory skills.
5. Strong attention to detail and reliability.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
7. Ability to lift and move materials as required.
8. Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
