Role Overview

As a Lead Machine Learning Engineer, you will drive the architectural design, development, and deployment of scalable, production-grade ML applications. Operating within an Agile environment, you will bridge the gap between Data Science, Ops, and Data Engineering to build robust models, automated pipelines, and cloud-native solutions that solve complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Scale ML Systems: Architectural design, development, and high-availability deployment of ML models using public cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
2. Pipeline & Code Engineering: Build optimized data pipelines to feed ML models; write, test, and maintain resilient application code using Python, Scala, or Java.
3. Model Lifecycle Management: Monitor, retrain, and maintain production models while driving CI/CD automation, unit testing, and model governance.
4. Responsible AI & Best Practices: Ensure model transparency, explainability, and risk mitigation in compliance with enterprise governance standards.
5. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Product and Data Science teams while mentoring junior engineers and leading technical implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related technical field.
2. Experience:
3. 6+ years designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
4. 4+ years hands-on programming with Python, Scala, or Java.
5. 2+ years building, scaling, and optimizing ML systems in production.
