Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Development: Design, code, and deploy component-based Java applications and microservices using modern backend stack technologies.
2. Requirements Translation: Collaborate with Business Analysts and Architects to convert complex functional requirements into maintainable program designs and technical specifications.
3. Testing & Quality Assurance: Drive unit testing, shift-left strategies, and mutation testing (Karate, Qtest, SonarQube) while supporting CIT and UAT triage.
4. System Triage & Support: Lead incident support and troubleshooting for complex enterprise applications across on-premise and cloud environments.
5. Technical Leadership: Mentor technical staff, enforce architectural standards and code quality, and assist in project estimations across the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications & Skills

1. Experience: Minimum 6 years of software development experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) with at least 3 years executing full SDLC projects.
2. Leadership: Minimum 1 year in a technical leadership role leading technical initiatives or team members.
3. Backend Development: Proficiency in Java, Quarkus, Spring Boot, and Node.js.
4. Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS — pods, allocations, Keda, triage), GitHub Actions, Apigee API Gateway, OAuth security, and certificate management.
5. Databases: Experience managing and optimizing relational and NoSQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Azure Cosmos DB.
6. Testing Frameworks: Direct experience with Karate, Qtest, SonarQube, and automated/mutation testing strategies.
7. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related technical field preferred.
