CyOpsPath Introduction

CyOpsPath is a high-priority & time sensitive job discovery and career intelligence platform designed to connect top-tier talent with immediate, mission-critical opportunities across the United States and India.

At CyOpsPath, we actively track high-priority roles to drastically improve response rates for candidates. When you consistently apply to 7 tailored job roles daily for 30 days through our platform, our track record shows you will receive direct candidate updates and hear back from client hiring teams within 45 days.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Firmware Development: Design, code, unit test, and debug low-level embedded software (C/C++) for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, RISC-V, ESP32, STM32) and Real-Time Operating Systems (FreeRTOS, Embedded Linux, Zephyr).
  2. Hardware Integration: Interface with hardware design teams to bring up new boards, validate schematics, and test low-level peripheral drivers (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, PCIe, USB).
  3. System Testing & Debugging: Utilize hardware debugging tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG/SWD debuggers) to isolate, trace, and resolve timing, memory, and performance issues.
  4. Optimization: Optimize code footprint, execution speed, and power consumption for resource-constrained device environments.
  5. Security & Reliability: Implement secure boot protocols, over-the-air (OTA) updates, memory protection, and failure-recovery mechanisms.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with hardware, backend, and product management teams to define system architectures, component selection, and technical specifications.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  1. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience, along with 3+ years in embedded software development.
  2. Programming: Expert proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems, with a solid grasp of data structures, pointers, memory management, and bitwise operations.
  3. RTOS & OS: Hands-on experience with RTOS concepts (task scheduling, semaphores, mutexes, IPC) or Embedded Linux system development/kernel drivers.
  4. Hardware Protocols: Strong understanding of hardware communication protocols including SPI, I2C, UART, CAN bus, or Ethernet.
  5. Debugging Tools: Proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and JTAG/SWD debuggers.
  6. Version Control: Experience using Git for source code control and collaborative code reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Familiarity with wireless communication stacks (Bluetooth LE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa, or Cellular/NB-IoT).
  2. Experience writing hardware description languages (Verilog/VHDL) or working with FPGA platforms.
  3. Knowledge of industrial safety and compliance standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or MISRA C guidelines).
  4. Hands-on experience with automated firmware testing frameworks or CI/CD pipelines for embedded hardware.

Requirements & Responsibilities
