Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Company duties; * Operating chemical processing equipment and production systems. * Controlling processes using a Distributed Control System (DCS). * Monitoring equipment and adjusting controls to keep production within required conditions. * Following work instructions, production procedures, and quality-control plans. * Performing quality-control testing during production. * Setting up equipment and preparing raw materials for production. Company Requirements: For an entry-level or regular Chemical Production Operator, Cabot may require: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Mechanical aptitude and good attention to detail. * Ability to read and understand operating instructions. * Basic mathematics skills. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Basic computer skills. * Strong awareness of workplace safety. * Ability to work different shifts, including nights, depending on the position.
