Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Engineer to protect our organization’s systems, networks, applications, and data from cyber threats. The Cybersecurity Engineer will design, implement, monitor, and maintain security solutions while identifying vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Security Infrastructure & Engineering

  1. Design, implement, and maintain security systems and controls
  2. Configure firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and access controls
  3. Secure cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments
  4. Develop and enforce security standards, procedures, and best practices

Threat Monitoring & Incident Response

  1. Monitor networks and systems for suspicious activity and security incidents
  2. Investigate, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats and breaches
  3. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  4. Coordinate incident response and recovery efforts

Vulnerability Management

  1. Perform vulnerability assessments and security audits
  2. Identify security risks and recommend remediation solutions
  3. Manage patching and system security updates
  4. Conduct penetration testing or support third-party testing efforts

Cloud & Application Security

  1. Secure cloud platforms such as:
  2. Amazon Web Services
  3. Microsoft Azure
  4. Google Cloud
  5. Support secure software development and DevSecOps initiatives
  6. Review application and API security configurations

Security Operations & Compliance

  1. Monitor SIEM and security monitoring platforms
  2. Maintain logs, audit trails, and security documentation
  3. Ensure compliance with standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or SOC 2
  4. Participate in internal and external security audits

Collaboration & Support

  1. Work with IT, engineering, and business teams to improve security posture
  2. Train employees on cybersecurity awareness and best practices
  3. Provide technical security guidance for projects and system implementations

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  2. 2–5+ years of cybersecurity or IT security experience
  3. Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and security protocols
  4. Experience with security tools and monitoring platforms
  5. Knowledge of incident response and vulnerability management processes

Preferred Skills

  1. Experience with:

  3. IBM
  4. Tenable
  5. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  6. Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, and container security
  7. Experience with DevSecOps and automation tools
