Responsibilities

  1. System Defense: Design, deploy, and manage security tools including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection solutions.
  2. Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitor networks and systems for security breaches, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity.
  3. Incident Response: Lead incident handling, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to minimize business impact and prevent recurrence.
  4. Risk Assessment: Perform regular vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and security audits across cloud and on-premise environments.
  5. Security Standards: Enforce compliance with security frameworks, industry standards, and internal security policies.
  6. Collaboration: Partner with development and operations teams to embed security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and system architectures.

Qualifications

  1. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience (3+ years in a cyber security role).
  2. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with security tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS), networking protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  3. Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, GIAC, or AWS Certified Security Specialist.
  4. Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot complex security events under pressure.
  5. Communication: Ability to articulate technical risks and concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
