Commissioning Associate WA

Role Summary

The Commissioning Associate provides technical and engineering support to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. This position is responsible for commissioning activities such as field verification, testing, troubleshooting, reporting, and coordinating MEPF systems with trade partners and project teams throughout all stages of the project.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
• 2–5 years of relevant field experience
• CxP or CxA certification preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, and testing environments is a plus

Core Responsibilities

• Request, collect, and catalog submittals from trade partners
• Assemble and brand project manuals and reports
• Collaborate with Facility Solutions and Commissioning Associates
• Review and coordinate system readiness and performance test drafts
• Conduct field inspections to verify construction progress and quality
• Participate in and coordinate owner training videography sessions
• Mentor Facility Solution Associate I and II
• Implement Operational Project Readiness (OPR) activities involving MEPF systems
• Review design drawings, submittals, and shop drawings for functionality and constructability
• Coordinate directly with MEPF trade partners during inspection and testing
• Assist in the creation and execution of commissioning scripts and schedules
• Track and resolve issues throughout commissioning and startup phases
• Maintain documentation and manage data via commissioning software platforms
• Adhere to all safety and quality standards on-site

Physical Demands

• Heavy work: exerting up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly
• Frequent walking, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and balancing on-site
• Regular computer and tablet use for documentation and coordination
• Exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and temperature fluctuations
• Visual acuity required for blueprint reading and field measurements
