Certified Medical Assistant – SW Atlanta (Immediate Start)

KLS is looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a specialized medical practice in Southwest Atlanta. This is a Temp-to-Hire role designed for a clinical professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is ready to hit the ground running.

The Role

While this is a Nephrology practice, prior experience in Nephrology is not required. We are looking for a seasoned CMA with strong transferable skills from Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, or other specialty clinics. If you are clinically sharp and a quick learner, we will provide the specialty-specific context you need.

What You’ll Do

  1. Patient Intake: Efficiently room patients and capture accurate vital signs (BP accuracy is especially critical here).
  2. Clinical Flow: Assist providers with exams and maintain organized patient charts in the EMR.
  3. Care Coordination: Manage lab orders, track results, and assist with patient scheduling.
  4. Patient Connection: Serve as a friendly, professional point of contact for patients managing chronic conditions.

Requirements

  1. Certification: Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMT, or equivalent).
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on clinical experience.
  3. Transferable Skills: Strong background in vitals, phlebotomy, and EMR documentation is essential.
  4. Timeline: Must be available to start ASAP.
  5. Attributes: High level of empathy, strong multitasking abilities, and a "team-player" attitude.
