About the Role

CLIENT is a growing regional creditors’ rights law firm seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to manage cases from inception through post-judgment remedies. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly barred attorney to gain hands-on litigation experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage a high-volume caseload from intake through resolution and post-judgment actions
  2. Conduct legal research, drafting, and analysis of case law
  3. Represent clients in court hearings throughout Florida
  4. Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel
  5. Provide risk assessments and legal strategy recommendations
  6. Maintain compliance with federal debt collection laws and state litigation procedures
  7. Collaborate with Managing Attorney on case progress and reporting
  8. Deliver professional, respectful, and solution-oriented client interaction


Requirements

  1. Active Florida Bar license (required)
  2. 0–3 years of experience in:
  3. Civil litigation
  4. Collections / creditors’ rights
  5. Bankruptcy (preferred but not required)
  6. Knowledge of:
  7. Federal debt collection laws (FDCPA)
  8. Florida civil procedures
  9. Strong:
  10. Legal writing & research skills
  11. Oral advocacy
  12. Time management and organization
  13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite


Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  1. Courtroom or hearing experience
  2. Multi-state licensure or eligibility (NC, SC, TN, MI, PA, RI, MD, VA, GA, FL)
  3. Experience in high-volume legal environments


Important Notes

  1. Must reside in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area
  2. Role is remote, but requires in-person court appearances across Florida
