What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing power distribution, lighting systems, and special systems (fire alarm, PA, AV, emergency power)
  • Overseeing production of full electrical drawing sets—concept to closeout
  • Leading junior engineers and drafters; redlining and mentoring
  • Conducting site visits, reviewing submittals, and responding to RFIs and PCRs
  • Editing technical specifications and ensuring compliance with relevant codes
  • Working closely with architects, mechanical teams, and other disciplines
  • Attending client meetings, offering guidance, and representing the team in project reviews



Need to Have

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial buildings
  • Proficiency with Revit MEP and AutoCAD
  • Strong technical foundation in power, lighting, emergency, and special systems
  • Demonstrated experience leading junior team members or managing direct reports
  • PE license
  • Ability to identify and interpret applicable codes in project jurisdictions
  • Competence with Microsoft Office Suite, COMcheck 



Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with structured cabling design 
  • Familiarity with plumbing and mechanical systems
